Recently, our after sales team just came back from GSF-135 America Transocean Offshore Rig and take back valuable jobsite data. The customer uses our VFD decanter centrifuge to cut down mud weight.
There are two sets decanter centrifuge on the offshore rig. One centrifuge is from Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids Environmental Services, the other one is from our buyer, which is local professional solids control & drilling cuttings treatment service provider. Sometimes, the offshore rig uses this two sets centrifuge alternatively ;one is in use and the other one as backup. Sometimes, they use the two centrifuge together to work more fast.
When we do after sales service, we are faced with some challenges. 1) Because of the squeezed space on offshore rig, the feeding pump is much lower than the centrifuge, with at least over 10 to 15meters height difference.2) The feeding pipe from screw pump to VFD centrifuge is extremely tortuous, some parts are steel pipe and some parts are rubber ones. 3) There is some deposit heavy mud in the tortuous feeding pipe between feeding pump to centrifuge, which made the feeding almost block.

- One Mixing Tank with mixing hoppers and mixing pump.
