Mud Cleaning System.DESCRIPTION
-
GN Trench Cutter Slurry Treatment Plant is designed for trench cutter, hydromill and diaphragm wall construction projects where large volumes of bentonite slurry must be continuously cleaned and recycled. During trench cutting, soil, sand, gravel and rock cuttings are mixed with the support slurry and pumped from the trench to the surface. The GN slurry treatment system separates coarse and fine solids from the returned slurry, allowing the cleaned slurry to be reused in the trench.
The slurry desanding plant is suitable for deep foundation engineering, underground diaphragm walls, cut-off walls, water-retaining walls, metro stations, underground parking structures, high-rise building basements, reservoirs, ports, environmental protection projects and other slurry wall construction applications.

GN Trench Cutter Slurry Treatment Plant Application
In trench cutter construction, the cutter wheels break the soil or rock formation while bentonite slurry supports the trench wall and carries the excavated material to the surface. The loaded slurry is discharged to the slurry treatment plant. After screening and desanding, the cleaned slurry is pumped back to the trench for continuous circulation.
GN Trench Cutter Slurry Treatment Plant helps contractors maintain stable slurry properties, reduce solids content, improve slurry reuse efficiency and support continuous excavation performance.

- Returned slurry from the trench cutter enters the primary screening unit.
- Coarse solids, gravel and large cuttings are removed by vibrating screens.
- The slurry is pumped to hydrocyclone desanding units for fine sand separation.
- Discharged solids are dewatered over screens for easier handling.
- Cleaned slurry is collected and returned to the trench or slurry storage tank for reuse.
GN Trench Cutter Slurry Treatment Plant Advantages
- Designed for Trench Cutter Slurry Circulation.
The system is developed for the high-flow slurry circulation requirements of trench cutter and diaphragm wall construction. It can process returned slurry continuously and help maintain efficient excavation progress. - Multi-stage Separation for Better Slurry Quality.
GN adopts a multi-stage separation process combining coarse screening, hydrocyclone desanding and dewatering screen treatment. This helps remove different particle sizes from the slurry and improves the quality of recycled bentonite slurry. - High-capacity Processing for Large Foundation Projects.
The system can be configured according to project requirements, trench cutter mud pump flow rate and site slurry volume. High-flow models are available for large diaphragm wall projects, deep foundation construction and continuous trench cutting operation. - Efficient Solids Removal and Slurry Reuse.
By reducing sand and solid content in the slurry, the system helps extend slurry service life, reduce bentonite consumption and lower slurry disposal cost. Cleaned slurry can be reused in the trench, supporting a more economical and environmentally responsible construction process. - Modular Design for Easy Site Layout.
GN slurry treatment systems can be designed with modular equipment, including shale shaker, desander, mud cleaner, centrifugal pump, slurry tank, mixing unit and electrical control system. The modular structure makes transportation, installation, maintenance and site arrangement easier. - Flexible Configuration for Different Ground Conditions.
Different separation stages and equipment combinations can be selected according to soil type, sand content, slurry density, trench depth and project requirements. The system can be customized for clay, sand, gravel, weathered rock and mixed ground conditions. - Reliable Equipment for Heavy-duty Construction Sites.
GN has long-term experience in solids control, slurry separation and mud treatment systems. The equipment is designed for demanding construction sites, with robust structure, wear-resistant components and practical maintenance access. - Integrated Slurry Management Solution.
GN can provide not only the desanding plant, but also slurry tanks, pumps, pipelines, mixing systems, electrical control panels and complete slurry circulation solutions. This helps contractors build an integrated slurry management system for trench cutter projects.
