GN Barite Recovery Decanter Centrifuge for India Company in Operation
GNLW363CG-VFD decanter centrifuge are the popular decanter centrifuge in the oilfield for the solids control and drilling waste management. The India company used GN decanter centrifuge in dual mode for different applications depends on the drilling conditions.

Dual decanter centrifuge for operation
This dual decanter centrifuge system will be installed to allow for the easy change over from Solids Removal Mode to Barite Recovery Mode and back as drilling conditions determine. De-weighted mud and barite slurry will be returned to the active drilling mud system whilst the unwanted fine solids are transported away from the units to the cuttings boxes via screw conveyors.
Solids Removal Decanter Centrifuge Operation
If the drilling mud weights are below 11.0 ppg, then the recovery of the barite in the mud does is not necessary.
Using the Centrifuge Feed Pumps, mud from Mud tank would be pumped to the decanter centrifuges where the discarded solids would be transported to the screw conveyor. It may be necessary to install a suitable screw conveyor system under the decanter centrifuges to allow the initial transfer to the main auger system.
The cleaned drilling fluid from the centrifuges would be returned to the active drilling mud system.
Barite Recovery Decanter Centrifuge Operation
Only one of the Centrifuge Feed Pumps would take mud from Mud tank and feed it to the decanter centrifuge set at low speed for barite recovery. The barite rich slurry discharged from this centrifuge would be returned to the active mud system preferably with mud agitator to enable it to be thoroughly remixed.
The drilling fluid discharged from this centrifuge would be caught in a small holding tank before being fed to the second centrifuge set up to run at high speed.
Discharged liquid would be returned to the small holding tank before being gravity fed back to the active drilling mud system.
