GN Decanter Centrifuges are Working Successfully in South American Rig Site
GN Solids Control delivered another 2 sets of 14 inch bowl decanter centrifuges to a South American oil service company. After the online training, clients have begin to use these 2 centrifuges to treat the drilling mud.
GN Solids Control has been providing decanter centrifuges to global clients for decades, until now over 85 countries and regions have GN Solids Control and Waste Management Systems running successfully in thousands of work sites.

As for these 14 inch bowl decanter centrifuges GN Solids Control provided to South American rig site, client provides high remarks on GN centrifuges’ excellent separating performance and stable working status.
1.GN 14 inch bowl centrifuge
GN Solids Control manufactures different bowl sizes of decanter centrifuges, among them 14 inch bowl is the most popular one. It is largely used for drilling mud solids control as it has wide range working speed up to 3900 rpm.
These 2 sets centrifuges GN provided are both variable speed, all the key working parameters like rotating speed, differential speed etc can be changed easily on HMI tough screen. And running status alarms can bring operators attention to guarantee the centrifuge running in good condition and avoid any possible risks.
Usually 2 sets centrifuges are working under middle rotating speed and high rotating speed, the first centrifuge removes big solids as much as possible by volume while the second centrifuge removes fine solids as much as possible by size.

2.GN screw feeding pump
For these 2 decanter centrifuges, GN Solids Control equipped with screw feeding pump. Sometimes, submersible pump can be also used. The good point of using screw feeding pump is every screw it can pump a fixed amount flow rate, so it is linear relation with the speed.
GN Solids Control VFD box can control the pump flow automatically in order to protect the centrifuge’s separating performance. When monitoring an abnormal current increase of the pump motor, VFD will down size the feeding volume to a certain amount; if the current continues to grow, the feeding flow rate will get smaller again.
