Oil sludge treatment system is one of GN new released technology in recent couple years. Not long before, GN shipped one set skid mounted oil sludge treatment system to Kazakhstan, client is satisfied with the performance of the system.
GN oil sludge treatment system is a 3 phase separation solution for water, oil and solid. This skid mounted system is compact design for easy transportation. It is normally used for small flow capacity project or for testing purpose. It is more like a demo system. So far, GN had developed three standard oil sludge system by treating capacity of 1, 5 and 15 cubic meters per hour.
Below a list showing all the modules in the standard oil sludge treatment system
1. Pre-mixing module, it is consisting of oil sludge collecting tank, sludge mixer, sludge pump. User need to transfer the oil sludge via a vacuum pump to the tank, water may need to be added in to the tank also to make sludge more flow-able for easy pump to next module. 2. 2-Phase separation module, it contains the shaker screen system and decanter centrifuge system. Coarse solids could be removed by the shaker, while the fine solids would be removed by decanter centrifuge. The effluence coming out from the decanter is mixture of liquid (water and oil) and ultrafine solids that can be further treated.3. 3-Phase separation module, the effluence from the decanter would be transferred to a disc centrifuge for water, oil and solids separation. RMP up to 7000 centrifuge can effectively separate the 3 phases and get satisfying result. 4. Chemical dosing system, this system is used to making the demulsification liquid and send to all modules to speed up the oil getting off from the solids. GN dosing system can be used to make chemical solution by using power and liquid chemicals.

The drying shaker unit is one of the main equipment in waste cuttings management system. It is used for further treatment of the drilling cuttings discharged out from primary solid control shale shaker. Comparing with the normal shale shaker, drying shaker has a large vibrating G force that makes the shaker recover more drilling fluids from cuttings. By using the drying shaker, the drilling fluids recovery efficiency would be highly increased and less waste discharged. To prevent the drilling fluids spraying out of the shaker deck and contaminating the area nearby, the drying shaker deck is designed to be cover with steel plate on top. To increase the drilling mud recovery efficiency, GN published the VIST vacuum shaker screen system that can be used especially in offshore project.
After a whole day packing and marking labels, GN just shipped out one batch shale shakers and decanter centrifuges to equip the oil well drilling rigs in Russia. Shale shaker and decanter centrifuge are two of the key equipment in drilling mud recycling system. The shale shaker separates the cuttings by using the wire mesh screen opening size to block the coarse cuttings, while the decanter centrifuge is separate ultrafine solids by using centrifugal force.
GN completed the fabrication of one batch solids control equipment for client from Uzbekistan. Now these equipment are in the final factory inspection and test running process, and then the equipment will be shipped out to work in the cold weather in Uzbekistan. Let us what the client ordered.
Shale shaker and mud cleaner unit are the first stage and second stage separation equipment in solids control system. It is know that the used drilling fluid is back from the down well with plenty of drilling cutting. The shale shaker is used to remove the coarse size cuttings in the drilling fluid. The subsequent equipment mud cleaner is to separate finer size cuttings. Shale shaker in the only type solids control equipment that to separate the cutting by size of the cuttings and opening on wire mesh screen. The mud cleaner is using centrifugal working principle to separate solid and liquid.
These couple days, GN 1500HP drilling rig solids control system is under final assembling and test running procedure, and then will be ready for delivery. Normally, a complete drilling rig solids control system is consisting of several tanks, each tank would be installed with different equipment, some are for mud recycling, while the others for mud mixing. This is not the first time for this India client order from GN Solids Control. This time, the client ordered the poor boy degasser GNZYQ1000 and mud recycling tank module to replace their existing system.
